Why Your Non-Stick Pan Keeps Sticking

Why Your Non-Stick Pan Keeps Sticking

If your nonstick pan has been sticking lately, here is the most likely reason.

The heat is too high.

High heat breaks down nonstick coatings faster than anything else. Once the coating goes, no amount of oil or technique brings it back.

The fix is simple. Medium heat, every time. Let the pan warm up for a minute before adding anything. A small amount of oil or butter. That is it.

If you are already doing that and your pan is still sticking, the coating is worn. Time for a new one.
