Gray Fiddler Counter Stool by Furniture Classics

I purchased 6 of "Gray Fiddler Counter Stools" (Item 18-48) made by Furniture Classics. Upon unpacking the chairs we noticed quite a variation in the mahogany wood stain among the chairs and they were also very different in stain color from the display chair we saw in person when shopping for counter height chairs to match our table. The majority of the delivered chairs are in varying shades of a "reddish" stain with inconsistent white wash finishes. The chair we saw in the furniture showroom was more of a brownish finish.

I contacted both Furniture Classics and the retail store where I ordered the product. Their only solution offered was to have a furniture refinisher come to the house to evaluate restaining the chairs. The person sent to the house said he could only paint the chairs and he could not restain them. He also did not have a workshop and only uses a straying paint technique which I did not want done in my home. I finally gave up trying to pursue having 6 new matching chairs sent to my home. These chairs were quite expensive at over $500/chair. For the price of these chairs I was definitely expecting higher quality control in shipped products.
